Social- and educational program

Under this program we have different projects and activities concerning  poverty reduction, educative initiatives, gender equality work, etc.

In March this year, we started a project on women’s rights in Congo. The aim was to inform about women’s rights according to the Congolese law and to explain the concept of gender equality and why it is important and how it affects everyone. We also informed about different national and international initiatives on how to improve gender equality in Congo and in the world

We want to stimulate both women and men to work towards a more equal society where mutual and equal respect prevails.

In connection with lectures , we informed about our women’s groups. The purpose  of the groups is to help women develop according to their own needs. At the moment we have three groups and different groups. Read more about them here. 

During 2017 we have also organized trainings in; computer usage, English- and French language.

Friend-classes Congo-Sweden 

In September this year, we started a friend-class collaboration with two selected school classes in Congo and Sweden respectively. We help them to “exchange letters” where they tell each other about their respective countries. The aim is to give the children in both countries a perspective on their everyday lives and their future.

The project is expected to run for one year.
